My mother is 90 wanted to go down memory lane so we got some take out today. I was hesitant from some of the reviews that I had read ,but decided to give them a chance Chicken chow mein was nice, garlic spareribs nice, pineapple chicken was a nice surprise as most restaurants put a tiny piece of chicken and then a ton of batter like a golf ball. This was prepared really nice in the sauce and pineapple. Egg rolls nice. General Tao chicken was also tasty but not in the black bean sause. Must be some interpretation of the dish but still tasted really good chicken fried rice was good, not much chicken though. Only down side and it seems to be a common theme with many restaurants, portions a lot smaller than they used to be. If you take the dinner for 2 etc, remember they charge extra for the soup. Hot and sour soup was tasty. I would go back and I would recommend this restaurant. I used to go there all the time in the 80s and they keep the place clean. Staff is courteous. Last thought : for everyone that had some issue with the staff other order, it’s really not nice to make stories about horrible service or getting sick from food. This restaurant has been around for decades and taking swipes at the staff and chef is immature.

The Yangtze's signature fried rice tasted really nice. Warm decorating style, and the staffs were also very friendly. You also get a fortune cookie as a gift when leaving :)

Stars strictly for the egg rolls - they’re famous here, but not cheap: they come to $3 per roll. Rest of the menu is okay, except western-style Chinese food.

I am sad to see so many negative reviews. This has been our go-to place for Christmas Eve dinner for many years and occasionally we order from them outside that for birthdays or other special events. The food has always been very good. Eggrolls, soup, we always switch up the pineapple chicken for chicken soo guy (delish!) and a new favourite, the crispy pork and black mushrooms. Very tasty and great texture if you like mushrooms! I have never eaten in there but will be doing so with friends soon.
